A Message from our CEO
I am excited to announce the launch of Center for Disability Services’ new housing Corporation, Red Heart Homes, LLC. (RHH).
With the expansion of our housing program as well as current rules and regulations, we chose to create this separate housing entity.
RHH will continue the mission to provide affordable, sustainable and accessible housing to individuals with I/DD who face barriers to homeownership or rental opportunities in our area. Currently, RHH has 16 properties that total 19 units.
In addition to the purchase of many new homes, we have also received funding to make improvements to several of our homes. This allows us to make necessary renovations that better meet the needs of our tenants. Some of these updates can be life-changing. We saw this firsthand when Kim, an individual that we support in our Supported Living (SL) Program, was living in a home that had a community landlord. For many reasons, this was not a good fit for Kim. After moving into her newly renovated home, Kim’s happiness and quality of life improved drastically!

Finally, I wanted to share that we are excited to be partnering with the Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities (LCBDD) and Community Capital Assistance (CCA) to increase and improve housing for individuals in Licking County. We definitely plan to keep this momentum going in 2025!
